The Weatherization Technician works under the general supervision of the Crew Supervisor and is responsible for performing weatherizing activities on the homes of eligible clients.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Assess needs with relation to energy conservation (windows, doors, etc.)
* Assess needs in regard to minor repairs.
* Perform carpentry work
* Insulation of homes.
* Other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must have a working knowledge of carpentry and other related techniques. Must be able to follow oral and written instructions and have the capacity to be trained and assume the duties and responsibilities of a Weatherization Technician. High School Diploma or GED is preferred. Must possess a valid driver’s license and must be insurable. Must be willing to travel to overnight training.
